Lab Week... Lab Coat Parade

Friday's long awaited Parade of Labcoats. Most departments submitted a labcoat. The design was based on the activites of each dept. Each had a personal style and take on their dept.

Wednesday of Lab Week Apr 21, 2010

Wednesday was celebrated with more food of course. A Covered Dish Luncheon. Laboratorians brought their favorite menu items to share. Dr Memari and Dr Shenouda enjoy the luncheon.

Tuesday of Lab Week April 20, 2010

Lab Week festivities continue with Lunch provided by Cardinal Health(Janine Barr) coupled with informational sessions on the "Lean Process". Learning to be lean was provided to us by Cardinal Health thru Chris Dillinger, a Master Black Belt in Six Sigma.

Techs enjoy a delicious lunch of roast beef, gnocci, salad and fresh rolls. Cookies too.

STRESS MANAGEMENT

Tuesday ended with a stress management presentation by Betty Minerva from the well being center. Her topic ...Stop the Suffering: Be Free Where You Are, was held at 2:00pm. She offered advice and technics for keeping your stress under control.

This was NOT one of Betty's tips for stress relief. [stressed is desserts spelled backwards]

Monday of Lab Week Apr19, 2010

Carol S and Dr Shenouda distribute deluxe stainless steel travel mugs to Laboratorians on the first day of Lab Week celebrations. The mugs were appreciation gifts from the Latrobe Laboratory pathologists, Unity Pathology.
The techs receiving their mugs. Additionally, everyone enjoyed bagels and spreads provided by Judy R for the morning and ice cream sundaes at lunch time.

LAB WEEK Committiee News

The LH Lab Week committee has formulated the plan for celebrating the lab's special week.

It's sure to be a Super Week as there are plenty of fun ideas and of course...food involved.

The activities can be summarized as "Eat, Design, Guess". Similar to the theme in the book by Elizabeth Gilbert, "Eat, Pray, Love", and it had a happy ending

Easter celebrated at LH LAB

The Easter morning crew: Dave D, Sharon B, Diana R, Linda M, Verena D, Sandy M and Heather B, enjoy Easter breakfast. They dined on fresh fruit cup, bacon and cheese strata and walnut sour cream coffee cake. Yum! Thelma K, Dana B and Scott G enjoying Easter morning breakfast. Luckily they made it before the gate closed.
